TOYOTA QUANTUM BUS INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR OVERVIEW
The transformation of the taxi in Mzansi has been very interesting to witness. As a vehicle that forms part of the backbone of the South African economy, it is incredibly important to get the elements just right. From the pricing right down to the styling, Toyota needs to ensure that its range does not alienate its loyal customers.
The Toyota Quantum Bus is a triumph. Not just because the normal specs and features have been observed, but also because it is an exercise in Toyota’s innovation. The latest model boasts luxurious exterior and interior features. The exterior especially has a lot more than simply interesting tweaks. Toyota has given it a wonderful overhaul and ensured that its people mover stands head and shoulders above its peers.
The Toyota Quantum Bus is currently available in 5 different variants:
Let’s have a look at the interior and exterior features a little more closely.
The overall impression of the exterior of the Toyota Quantum Bus is one of sophistication. Most notable is the semi-bonnet design, which gives the Quantum a polished feel. It is done with intention, as the design allows more space in the interior of the vehicle. The exterior design has also allowed more legroom (a 90mm increase in fact) to enhance the comfort of passengers.
The Daytime Running Lights are also positioned to heighten the driver's visibility on the road. It is great to see that regardless of the stylish aesthetics, Toyota never forgets one key element: Safety. Visibility rears its head again with the power-retractable side mirrors. The model also rests on newly assembled 16” alloy wheels, which reinforce the vehicle’s presence on the road.
This range is available in two colours: Ivory White and Quicksilver Metallic.
As elegant as the interior of the Toyota Quantum Bus is, it was assembled purely for comfort and safety. Passengers can now enjoy additional legroom and headroom. Toyota has also adorned the cabin with interesting patterns and shapes, which give an overall impression of travelling through space.
Depending on the variant chosen, motorists can choose between a blend of fabric and synthetic leather seats. Toyota has made several adjustments to heighten visibility within the cabin. This is most apparent with the lowered front side mirrors and the addition of an auxiliary mirror. A standout feature is the electrochromatic rear-view mirror and the reverse camera.
Toyota enthusiasts will be familiar with the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality, which allow the motorist to sync their smartphone with the vehicle itself.
