The very name Toyota Hilux conjures images of grand off-road activity. For the longest time, the model has been peerless amongst its competitors. The off-road segment has been dominated by the workhorse, and its performance has been consistent for decades. When a specific model becomes ingrained in the subconscious of its consumers, and more especially simply for its ability to navigate various terrain, it can become easy to overlook all the other factors that we would normally look at.
Brand Toyota has been careful to avoid resting on its laurels when it came to the new Toyota Hilux rollout. The range boasts an even more dominant exterior, and the tech to match it. Let’s explore the interior and exterior options of the new variants.

It is narrow-minded to consider the Toyota Hilux Single Cab as perhaps the entry-level model in the new range. What this single cab lacks in cabin space it makes up for a largely-sized loadbox. This allows the user to naturally load more in the box as they deem fit. The new Hilux Single Cab is available in 13 different variants, all resting on 17” steel wheels. The wonderfully remodeled black front bumper allows the single cab a bolder presence on the road as well.
Another takeaway as we peruse the exterior of this range is the prominent halogen fog lights and LED brake lights. Whilst this may edge the appearance of the Hilux Single Cab into a more modern space, it is also practical, not to mention fulfilling the safety quota that is required.
The interior options of the single cab are a blend of tech and comfort. The S and SR models in particular are fitted with PVC seat trim whilst the Raider models venture into a more luxurious territory. The Multi-Information Display is a great addition, as it allows users to connect their smart devices through technology such as Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. Ultimately, users may even be able to link their smart device’s audio capabilities to the speakers within the vehicle.
