The new Toyota C-HR exudes a great many things. From the aspects of tech and innovation that can be found in the interior, right down to the sophisticated styling of the exterior. Simmering above these, however, is the overall feeling that Toyota has had an absolute ball with the rollout of the new Toyota C-HR. The range injects a feeling of spunk that was sorely lacking in the subcompact crossover SUV segment.
The styling of the Toyota C-HR flirts with upmarket sophistication and daredevil. It has a distinctive wider grille and striking LED headlamps. The interior is focused on connectivity with the integration of the infotainment system. It also resembles the mood of the exterior with its plush additions and trimmings. There is also an emphasis on the comfortability of occupants, with this model boasting slightly more space in its cabin than its competitors.
The exterior lines of the new C-HR range transcend modernity, and the downward inclined roof and window allow the vehicle to craft a recognizable silhouette on the road. There are also enjoyable upgrades with the addition of LED headlights. At the top of the range, the Luxury variants come equipped with Bi-LED Auto High Beam headlights, that assist with low and high beams.
All variants are seated upon either 17” steel wheels or 18” alloy wheels, all of which also add an air of authority to the C-HR’s exterior. The new range is furthermore available in a wide range of colours which include: Glacier white, Metal stream metallic, Graphite grey metallic, Inferno Metallic, and Oxide Bronze.
The Toyota C-HR interior is sophisticated comfort. Immediately noticeable is the elevated seated position of the driver's seat, which is reminiscent of the traditional SUV. The fabric seat material is an elegant blend of grey, whilst the Luxury model comes embossed in a unique Orchid Brown material. Additionally, the seats are part-leather, whilst the driver and passenger seats are both heated.
Whilst the tech in the cabin is impressive, it is also practical. All variants come equipped with cruise control, and the controls on the steering wheel are arranged such that the driver never needs to take their eyes off the road.
