This Toyota “compact” crossover SUV did not come to play around. Anything but small, this RAV has space for 5 passengers and a boot capacity of 733 litres. The non-hybrid vehicles are available in two-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.
The hybrid SUV has an E-Four system that offers the thrilling AWD experience with the efficiency of an electric engine. The RAV4 is available in 2.0 and 2.5 litres inline-four-cylinder engines, this improves the performance and efficiency of your everyday drive.
The RAV4 is a powerful SUV crossover that doesn’t guzzle petrol. The hybrid vehicles have a maximum power of 131kW at 5700r/min and the 2.5 VX AT AWD has 152kW at 6600r/min. The maximum torque on both the hybrid and normal models is impressive when considering the low fuel consumption.
There has never been a better time than now to invest in a vehicle with good fuel economy. The hybrid model only uses approximately 4.8 litres per 100kms and the normal models range from 6.7 - 7.3 litres per 100kms.

The RAV4 is a five-seater that breaks all the rules of a supposed “compact” SUV. The vehicle is spacious in the interior with ample boot space. The second row of seats folds down completely and can be lowered one by one. In this way, you can pop in your surfboard, bicycle or even transport larger objects by yourself. Some RAV4 owners even use this crossover SUV for their “glamping”, by putting a mattress in the back of the car with the seats down.
The comfort features in the RAV4 are extensive, even in the entry-level model (GX-R). The seat trims are partial leather and the driver’s seat has lumbar support. Another cool feature is the automatic dual-zone air conditioner, which allows each passenger to choose their desired temperature and intensity.
Both of the front seats have built-in heaters – perfect for early morning starts or frosty evenings. The ergonomic comfort has been upgraded with a bigger centre console with space for four cup holders and a tray for personal belongings.
The RAV4 is fitted with cutting-edge technology. One of the best features is the infotainment touchscreen. The touchscreen is 7 inches wide (17.78cm) and can be fully integrated with Android and Apple smartphones. You can also connect your device via BlueTooth or a USB port. With seven different models to choose from, the Toyota RAV4 is one of the most dynamic crossover SUVs on the market. There are two different trim lines, the GX-R (entry-level) and the VX (premium). In terms of driving options, you can buy a 2WD (two-wheel-drive), AWD (all-wheel-drive) or an E-Four (Hybrid).
