All of the New Polo vehicles are turbocharged with the VW TSI technology. Volkswagen Australia Online explains just exactly what a Turbocharged Stratified Injection is: “TSI technology brings more efficiency from smaller units — resulting in the ability to travel longer distances from less fuel.
Built to be strong and light, TSI engines all deliver high specific torque from much lower revs, to make Volkswagen cars more lively, economical and clean-running. Volkswagen TSI engines combine direct injection with turbocharging, and also feature an intercooler to deliver more efficient motoring.”

This Polo GTI Review is a broad review of the swift and slick fan-favourite. As a car that is celebrated for its speed, the engine has a power output of 147kW @ 4400 - 6 000 r/min and a torque output of 320kW @ 1500 - 4 350 r/min.
