The exterior architecture of all three variants is where we can immediately spot the beginning of the number of tweaks VW has made. All models have had their font ends modified, with the newly fitted H7 twin halogen headlamps being most prominent on the VW Transporter Crew Bus. A highlight of the VW Transporter 6.1 Panel Van would have to be its adaptable roof height, which is dependent on the consumer's requirements. The exterior of the Cab Range is impressive in its variability as well. Both Single and Double Cabs weigh in impressively with their respective load lengths.
As attractively developed as the interior of the range is, VW’s practicality rears its head here. The dashboard is designed to enhance the visibility of the road on all models. The interior also taps into the versatility that this segment of vehicle offers, but it does so in an interesting manner.
The removable seats that are offered by the VW Transporter 6.1 Crew Bus offer its user more space, bleeding into the unique selling point that is offered by the Panel Van variant. The Transporter 6.1 Panel Van has enhanced its space even further with the inclusion of a two-part stowage system. Volkswagen has also integrated recognizable tech from other models and fitted it seamlessly into the Transporter. This includes tech such as App Connect and Bluetooth. Similarly as important is the driver-assist technology that this range is laden with. There are identifiable elements such as the Tyre Pressure Monitor, but also the newly developed Crosswind Assist.
The Volkswagen Transporter also remains a strong performer on the road. The Panel Van variant comes equipped with a choice of an 81kW or 110kW engine. By comparison, the Cab Range shares a similar amount of power, and also comes with the 4MOTION feature. This feature is especially useful given this variant’s workhorse status.

All variants in the range are also priced justly, especially considering the vehicles’ capabilities. The Volkswagen Transporter Single Cab 6.1 will retail at R454 700, whilst the top-of-the-range Double Cab will cost the consumer R688 200. The multi-purpose Crew Bus only starts at R678 400.
